Grizzly Bear Family of Five

<
This sow(Grizzly Female) now has four cubs. It is believed that two of these cubs are adopted do to how rare it is for a sow to have more than two cubs.

Grizzly bears can weigh up to 1,500lbs and can live up to 25 to 30 years.

These bears are not shy at Yellowstone and can be seen almost every morning and evening at Washburn trail and for those less daring people you can get a good view of them by pulling off at the side of the road near Dunraven Pass.

Remember to keep your distance it is recommended that you stay 100yards away from bears in Yellowstone NP. Hiking is a great why to see Yellowstone, but make sure you are prepared Mountain House Freeze-Dried Food

A Special thanks to Marion D. for providing me with these wonderful pictures.

Lost Baby Grizzly

Now, here is a sad story about the park. A baby grizz comes out once a night at the same location over and over again. So, I got curious about it upon investigating the matter I was shocked to find out its mother had been hit by a car. So, For the last 9 months at about 5PM the grizzly bear has been coming out to see if its mom is at that location. I do have pictures of this grizzly bear and I will post them when I get a chance to find them.

X Marks the spot on the map

This map is a general overveiw of animals in the park I will add more info as I come accross it. Information is based on my august trip to yellowstone.
